Thankful….

Recently, I indulged Ava by allowing her to eat her breakfast in while watching television.  A brief segment came on the Noggin network about being thankful.  Blue’s Clues front man, Steve, had a little book that he showed off about what all his friends were thankful for.  At the end of this I asked Ava what she was thankful for, wondering if she was really getting what he was talking about or just vegetating in front of the electronic babysitter.  She replied by pointing with her tiny finger to the window outside and said “the leaves, I am thankful for the leaves.”  Its worth noting that here in New York we have had some excellent foliage this year.  Thank you Ava, I am thankful for you….
