Bossy Frog Concert

Bossy Frog Concert January 24th!

Is it me or does the winter seem longer and longer each year?  Seems this everlasting grey is near torture especially when you are cooped up with little gremlins.  For a little relief take the little guys, ages one to eight, to see Jeffrey Freidberg and the Bossy Frog Band.  Saturday January 24th at Ardsley Middle School Auditorium at 10:30am.  All seats $15 (children under 2 are FREE).  This benefit concert supports Alcott Montessori School and there will be face painting, children’s boutique items, prizes, raffles and more.  Tickets can be purchased online ( click here ) or by calling 472-4404.  PS. My shop, Chi Chi Bean, will have a booth there too! Stop by and say hi!

Dazed and looking forward…with joy.

Friday, January 2nd, 2009

Its a new year and I think its safe to say we are all looking forward to a new start.  2008 left most of us dazed, including myself.  Between the extremes of gas prices, foreclosure mania and the rapidly changing landscape in American culture we have kids to raise and lives to lead.  Most of us would be happy to count on some stability.  For me it has felt like a really bad case of sea sickness.  If you have ever been seasick you know that one of the remedies is to pick a focal point and fix your eyes on it until your equilibrium is back in balance.  Its easier said than done but it does work.  What’s my point?  2008 felt like endless nausea and we are looking for some steady ground.  So we are picking a focal point and sticking with it until we feel better.  Alright, so what is it?  Joy.  We are focusing on Joy, in big ways and small ways but we are focusing on it everyday and we will be sharing joy with you too.  Take a look at these two babes and tell me if you don’t feel joy!  Recently, we received these pictures from two wonderful customers of their kids in the Angel Dear Candy Cane knitwear.  Its simple joy to see babies delight at holiday time.  Thank you Claire and Riley for sharing your joy.
